Last day i received the subjected email message “Perk: Free 6 month trial of Google One for Local Guides”

  • free Google One membership for 6 months.

But i didnt get any redemption code , Clicked Redeem now button landed one.googleone.com page asked to JOIN FOR FREE… following window coming, what could be the reason ?> will i get a redemtion code?

How do I activate my free trial?
Here are the steps to activate your free trial:

  1. Click on the Join for free button on the website.
  2. You might be asked to sign in. If the invite was sent to your Google Account, sign in with that Google Account.
  3. Fill out the form, and choose a form of payment, like a credit card or debit card.

Note: A form of payment is required so that your membership can continue at the end of your trial. You won’t be charged until your trial ends.

  1. Follow the steps on the screen.

In addition to @rayliss 's great explanation I would like to add that there’s no redemption code needed for this perk. Just click “Redeem Now,” select a form of payment, and you’ll be on your way.

Thanks, As mentioned ; won’t be charged until trial ends but will they charge / debit me once trial got expired? even if i forget to opt out of extending the period? or will i get any notification on expiry of trial period?

  • What happens when my free trial expires?

  • When your trial ends, you can continue your membership.:

  • You’ll be automatically charged using the form of payment you entered when you signed up. You can edit the form of payment associated with your Google One membership.

  • Another solution- Put an alert in your google calendar to which date the trial expires, and cancel the membership.

Google One membership Offer terms for Local Guides

  • This Google One membership offer (Offer) provides you with subscription benefits at no charge for the duration noted in the Offer email you received from Google Local Guides (the “Offer period”). Once you’ve joined Google One, you can check the date the Offer ends from within your Google Play Subscriptions settings. Offer expires and must be redeemed by the date noted in the offer email you received from Google Local Guides. The Google One Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy apply to your use of the subscription during the Offer period. The Offer requires a Google Payments account with a qualifying payment instrument. On the date your Offer ends, your subscription will begin and your payment instrument will be charged, until you cancel your subscription. To avoid being charged, you must cancel before the end of the Offer period. If you cancel your subscription during the Offer period, your membership will remain active until the end of the Offer period unless you delete the Google One service at myaccount.google.com.
  • What happens if I cancel my membership?
  • If you cancel your storage plan or when your storage plan expires, your storage limits will reset to the free levels for each product at the end of your billing cycle.

@MashaPS - I similarly got 2TB and I am thankful for the recognition.

QQ: Can we have an option to have “Check-Box” - Unsubscribe the Plan at 10th Month or 11th Month or so on… including date and time?

Honestly with this option, Google 1 team can avoid unnecessary reverts about early amount deductions as such.

Also, for all LG’s whoever got this should be able to see the Offer in https://one.google.com/ to claim it.

I just now subscribed to the Google One offer. For local guides it will show when the offer will expire. The exact date. Before reaching that date, you can cancel the subscription. I got 100 gb. This is my receipt.

Hello

I would like to know , Now i am in USA and activated the Google one from US and using now. In couple of days i am travelling to India. Am i able to use google one perk (6 months trail) in India ?
