People of the World - Sungai Pandan Waterfall, Malaysia

Hey there Local Guides

If you’re ever in Kuantan, Malaysia and keen to explore nature in all its glory then you’ll want to take a trip to Sungai Pandan Waterfall

This is a natural waterfall with rock pools all around, perfect for exploring and relaxing alike.

It’s about an hour’s drive from Kuantan’s city center and open daily from 9am-5pm with the exception of Fridays - or at least, these were the times of operation when I was there.

I had a wonderful time here, exploring the forested area surrounding the park, sunbathing and enjoying families and solo travellers alike in their contentment.

People recommend about an hour and thirty minutes for this place but my advice is if you can spend your whole day, then do.

Much love

Hi @Aruni

I used to live in Malaysia.

I visited the waterfall 3 times.

The fall is in a natural park so one can hike or enjoy the natural rock pools and fresh water.

There is food and drink available from a few vendors and additional restaurants nearby.

Thanks for the links, I’ve read the 14 tips already but not the second article so will be doing that shortly.

Beautiful waterfall @LeeBee-SA , thank you! From photos on the link, you shared, it seems easy to climb and has bridge near it which give the chance to see it from higher point, than the ground - definitely an extra attraction. Waterfalls in my country, Ukraine, are beautiful too, but do not have such bridges.
