I have been contributing to Google Maps for ages now, I am a local guide level 9
I am (and always will be) a huge fan and admirer of the Local Guides program and I hope to one day reach level 10❤️
I heard that Google has randomly rewarded Local Guide users with gadgets including the pegman pin.
I have never had the pleasure or honor of receiving any gadgets, I was wondering if there was a way to receive the pegman pin in some way.
I would be truly honored, to carry this desired award with me on all my travels:pleading_face:

The Pegman pin and other cool gadgets are usually gifted during special events, contests, or exclusive giveaways by Google. 
Staying active in Local Guides Connect, joining challenges, and participating in meetups can definitely improve your chances! 
Also, these rewards can sometimes be region-specific or sent during particular celebrations.

Thanks for sharing your location. While Google doesn’t have a formal request system for the Pegman pin, staying engaged in Local Guides Connect, especially in Europe-based discussions and virtual meetups, is a great way to stay on the radar. 
You can also:
Join official challenges (like photo or trivia challenges)
Keep an eye on announcements in the “Announcements” section on Connect
Follow Local Guides on Instagram/X for surprise giveaways
I really hope you get that well-deserved Pegman pin soon — it would be the perfect travel companion for a dedicated Local Guide like you!

There are only two things you can do:

make sure Rewards is selected in your email settings found here
-
muster all your hope as rewards are given at random and we are more than 150.000.000 local guides. So it’s easy to calculate that our chances are minuscule.
I think fewer and fewer rewards have been given out lately, so finding motivation in helping other Maps users and the places on Maps is a safer bet.

As for the pegman pin, Google usually sends those as surprise rewards or during special events, so there’s no official way to request one. Keep contributing with the same passion, and who knows? You might just get lucky and receive one soon.
