This is a post to participate in the #ChallengeState California organized by @Denise_Barlock & @Kwiksatik also is a good excuse to write about my favorite state in USA.
In my last trip to Cali I did a round trip Los Ángeles-San Francisco- Los Ángeles. I visited places like Santa Bárbara, Solvang, Monterrey, Silicon Valley, San Francisco and this place who remember as a little piece of heaven in earth: Pebble Beach
It’s a community on the Monterey Peninsula in Monterey County, California. Is the land of the golf (Pebble Beach has seven 18-hole golf courses, and one 9-hole course) and the community is home to many retirees workers in the social service (education and health care), management and finance sectors.
The famous 17 Mile Drive ( the scenic road that run from Pacific Grove much of which hugs the Pacific coastline) serves as the main road through the gated community of Pebble Beach. Nonresidents have to pay a toll to use the road.
From my window in the bus the 17 Mile Drive was offering to me a great view. When we arrived to Pebble Beach, we dropped the bus that day and I couldn’t open more my eye to see the beauty of this place, the magnificence of the Pacific Ocean in front made an unforgettable moment to me.
@SilvyC your article brings back so many happy memories of the area! I was fortunate enough to travel to this area with @SoniaK@AnuradhaP@XanderO and others… Your photos do a wonderful job capturing the sun-soaked feeling of the area. Did you have the chance to go down to the beach while you were there? I’d never seen such colorful beach pebbles in my life!
Thank you for this beautiful post about Pebble Beach, California. All your photos are very beautiful, especially I liked the cover photo of the beach, it looks really amazing,
@Kwiksatik I couldn’t, as a part of a tour was a short time there. The whole area is stunning. I need to come back because one place wasn’t included in the tour: Carmel.
@AnuradhaP I will ALWAYS remember that! I was still shy with the group, but I couldn’t resist running down to the beach! I had no idea you got the whole thing on video until much later! (I had assumed you took a picture or two.) I was, and still am, so touched by your documenting this moment of my life for me.
