Patanjali Yogpeeth Haridwar, Uttarakhand

Today i am going to introduce a very famous and prestigious place which is related to Yoga and Ayurveda located in Uttarakhand state of northern India, which is also known as DEVBHOOMI (The City of Gods). I hope you’ll love to read this local stories from Haridwar.

So let’s Start.

Some Important Points Related to Patanjali, Haridwar:

  • Patanjali Yogpeeth is located in Bahadrabad, it’s an intermediate village Panchayat in the Haridwar district of Uttarakhand; located at a distance of around 20 Km from Haridwar city.
  • Patanjali Yogpeeth is one of the famous Yoga institute in the world.
  • Every year Yoga devotees from different locations of the world visit here to practice yoga and different meditation.
  • It’s named after Rishi Patanjali establish in 2006 under the flagship of Baba Ramdev.
  • The main purpose of Patanjali is to practice Yoga, meditation, research and develop yoga, Ayurveda around the world.
  • Patanjali also provide education in field of yoga and Ayurveda, students from different states of India studying in it and achieving quality education.
  • Wide range of items such as snacks, cosmetics, clothes, beverages/juices and some other products are available inside Patanjali Mega Store, all things are totally Made In India.

AS you can see in the above pictures various type of clothes such as: shirts, t shirts, jeans, denim and trousers available here inside Patanjali Mega Store, food items are also available here, you can even buy the cotton fabrics which is totally made with pure cotton (Khadi).

Visitors from different countries of the world came in every month to visit in th huge campus of Patanjali

You can see various kind of beautiful flowers inside Patanjali, a wide range of herbs also planted here which is used in various Ayurvedic medicines.

Food Court inside Patanjali: A food court inside the campus also available for the visitors so that they can enjoy the taste of fresh juices with some tasty and fresh snacks.

University of Patanjali is divided into 2 parts;

  1. Patanjali Yogpeeth- I (formed in 6th April 2006)
  2. Patanjali Yogpeeth- II (formed in April 2009)

SOME FAMOUS PLACES NEARBY PATANJALI, HARIDWAR:

HOW TO REACH PATANJALI HARIDWAR ?

1. If you want to travel by Bus then Haridwar Bus Stand is the nearby bus stop and it’ s located at a distance of about 20 km from Patanjali Yogpeeth

and you can cover this remaining journey of 20 km by the help of public transport such as bus, auto, taxi etc.

2. If you want to travel by Train then Haridwar Railway station is the nearby railway station and it’s situated at a distance of 20 km from Patanjali Yogpeeth

the remaining journey you can cover by the help of bus/taxi, public transportation is available 24x7.

3. If you want to travel by air then Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun is the nearby spot and located at a distance of 56 km from Patanjali Yogpeeth

you can hire taxi from airport to access the place.

Thank you for tagging me. This looks like an interesting place to visit. Do you practice yoga? I haven’t tried it yet but it’s never too late. Are there any playgrounds for the children? Is it a family friendly location, what do you think?

But I love Indian 100% cotton clothes.

Your flowers pictures are amazing! So bright colors! As I can see, these are blooming dahlias. I love it. There in Ukraine we have blooming dahlias in autumn on September. Past I planted them in my garden.

The City of Gods, way up the north of India looks like a very interesting place to visit @IshantHP_ig Being so far up north I guess from a weather point of view you have to pick the right time of year to visit!

Yes i practice yoga daily and it’s a part of my daily routine because yoga strengthens our mind and soul.

The campus is lush green and totally suitable for the children and friendly for everyone.

It certainly looks like a nice place to visit, more so for folks into yoga! I’ve only tried beginners yoga once but I’m soooo not good at it. Flexibility is not something I’m naturally gifted at!

I’ve never practised yoga before like I’ve mentioned in a previous comment. I don’t have any plans of visiting India soon but a friend of mine just got back from there and she was impressed by the people and how happy they were. :slight_smile: Perhaps, I will go to India in the future.
