I am sharing my experience of the PANGONG LAKE trip.
In India, Ladakh has always been on our bucket list. obviously Pangong Tso has always been on the top of the list.
The water in this lake shines green and blue.
Reaching here is also a great experience. This 5-6Hrs trip stretches where so-called roads just don’t exist. Our vehicle jogged, jumped, bumped over roads. It took us around six hours of rigorous driving to reach Pangong lake.
The first sight of Pangong Tso lake, you’ll get just before 4km to reach Pangong lake & it is mesmerizing.
I’ve attached the photo.
Some of the Bollywood movies have also been shot here. Like 3 idiots, Jab tak hai jaan.
There is crystal clear water in this lake. In the above photo, it can be seen.
Pangong Lake situated at a height of approx 4,350 m. 30% of this Lake is in India and the rest 70% in China. The lake is assumed to be sacred to the locals and the Buddhists.
Wind flows very cold even in the month of June.
This lake is frozen in winter.
At last, this lake is amazing with a spectacular view.

Hello @RaviRaaz ,
Pangong Tso is indeed a magical place. It is cool that you mentioned that Jab Tak hai Jaan movie was filmed there because I do remember thinking how beautiful it looked when I watched the film. I am a big fan of Bollywood movies by the way. Thank you for mentioning this fun fact. I am curious how they managed to film the movie there, considering how hard it is to reach the lake. Do you have any ideas?
