Overwhelmed by Emails! Here’s the what’s Happening …
Dear Local Guides & Fellow Moderators,
First of all, I’d like to express my heartfelt appreciation for this vibrant Connect community. It’s an incredible space to learn, share and celebrate our Local Guide journeys.
However, I’m facing an unexpected challenge that I believe others might also relate to.
Every day, I receive dozens, Sometimes hundreds of Emails from various Local Guide Members and Moderators of the Local Guides Connect platform. While many of these are helpful or celebratory, A large portion appears repetitive, irrelevant or even spammy.
This constant inflow not only clutters my Gmail inbox but also fills up my Google Drive storage quota rather frequently. I’m forced to delete, block or filter messages almost daily- Which interrupts my workflow and user experience.
I worry that important or authentic communications may get buried among these. Some even appear suspiciously like phishing or spam messages.
I’d kindly request:

Can the community or moderators provide tips to manage these emails more effectively?

Could there be better email preference controls or batch unsubscribe options?

Is it possible to identify and remove potential spammers sending irrelevant messages to mass users?
I love being a part of this community and want to continue participating without this burden. Hope this post opens a discussion that benefits others too!
