We have the same problem long edits intersect with anything ‘tree, shadow, red road became white road’ in the road causing change in the color of the road.
I am not that expert I learn it from @ErmesT have a look here. and I have start to change my methodology, very small edits and I stopped as soon as anything will change the color.
I have just change my way and I am still under testing but it seems that it will work.
ErmesT advise me to split the road even if its 100M and there are five trees shadow … etc every 10M I will make 10 roads and wait 10 days/approvals.
I will share with you some of my oldest pending roads.
and there are more and more before and after.
and this is my new edits short and stopped whenever there are change in the color.
before I used to send a lot of time and make few roads but now a lot of time and a lot of small edits. like the ones who their level now are 400,000 points and 2,000,000 points who gets handers of approved email every day! how come with long edits?
