One user removed a famous book store from the map [Solved]

Hi dear @DeniGu @DeniG

Sorry for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, one user removed one branch of a famous bookstore from the map. English and Persian names:

Cheshmeh Publication

نشر چشمه

Not like a tourist attractions but still It has lots of reviews and photos and is one important place for people who like books.

Unfortunately, I have not its link to the map. But since it was in one of my lists, I can see its exact coordinate was: 35.73881883411743, 51.31368357028465

I hope you can help to recover this POI and its data. I also try to search and see if I could find any link to its previous POI to help in the reinstation process.

Thank you so much

Total removal isn’t possible by a Local Guide @Amiran I suggest you report this via the https://support.google.com/maps/community and see what can be done.

Hi @PaulPavlinovich

It is possible Indeed, since we have the option to close/remove a POI. Even today I totally removed some spam POIs to clean the map. But if you mean a good Local Guide will not remove a real POI, Yes, I agree with you. But we have also many wrong behaving users even bad Local Guides who destroy the map.

Also, since such an issue is to keep photos/reviews belonging to a POI as a Local Guides activity, I think Connect is a much better place to describe it.

Moreover, I had unsuccessful reports in the Maps forum before but my previous reports here were successful. For example this one.

On the other hand, there is another problem for me with expressing issues in the forum that I will describe by message.

Hi dear @DeniGu

Happy holidays. I am so sorry to take your time these days, but this is an urgent case to prevent losing data.

Unfortunately, another well-known POI with hundreds of reviews and photos has been removed in recent days.

The link I have from its POI is:

https://goo.gl/maps/aaaZvFYGuxPVRwd7A

that currently redirects to the street because of the same name, not the POI itself.

The exact coordinate of the point before removal was:

36.91132976347369, 50.6677829460004

Persian name:

بلوار کازینو

English name:

Casino Boulevard

This is a historical lovely landmark and I really appreciate it if you could help to reinstate it.

Thank you so much

PS: one of my friends created a new POI nearby but it can not connect to old data and because of this I request for reinstating the old POI. After reinstating, I’ll merge the new one with the old one.

Hi dear @DeniGu

Sorry to take your time, but another famous landmark with more than 2k reviews and thousands of photos removed from the map!

It seems its exact location was: 35.71158263992985, 51.407045655913855

and its previous link is This but because it is mostly known by the name of the roundabout, after removal the link redirects to the road instead of a specific POI.

I appreciate it if you could help in this case.

Thank you so much

Hi @Amiran ,

A feature with the name Valiasr Square exists on Maps. Is it a duplicate that was created after the removal of the original?

I’m checking this with you to make sure this is the landmark in question that needs to be reinstated.

Hi again dear @DeniGu , It is a duplicate that was created a few months ago.

The main POI had more than 2k reviews.

I really appreciate your help to reinstate it. Thank you
