I like Khoa Shagor Dighi most. Because this place has something special, like peace. And you know, I spend around an hour here. I was also drowning my feet in the water of the lake.

One more question, is it possible to visit this village by foot in one day?

It’s not possible by foot. You need to use Rickshaw or Bike.

@Saiyen Thanks for sharing this post! I love visiting places like this! The place Kaman Khola Zamindar Bari, what was it used to be? I am wondering if was it used to be a politician’s house? What role did it play in the liberation war of Bangladesh?

@ShakilAK ভাই, আমি আসলে সবগুলোর রাস্তা চিনিনা! আমার দাদা সিনিয়র সহকারি জজ হওয়ায় উনার একজন স্টাফ আমাকে বাইকেে করেে ঘুরিয়েছেন। তবে তেমন সমস্যা হওয়ার কথা না। এছাড়াও আমাদের একজন লোকাল গাইড সেখানে থাকেন।

Landowner Rajendra Nath Das’s son, Khelnath Das and grandson Jadunath Das and grandson of Jadunath Das, Harendra Narayan Das Chowdhury, respectively. They had a zamindari in Raipur upazila. Since they were in touch with the zamindars of Dalal Bazar, he bought land property in Kaman Khola near the zamindar’s house and built a zamindari residence.

But unfortunately some local people living here and I heard that they are some kind of relatives of Zamindar.

@Saiyen That’s very interesting. In the Philippine history during the Spanish Colonial period, Zamindars are called “Haciendero” which kind of refers to land owner or farm owner. Thanks for sharing a piece of your history!
