We had spent a weekend staycation at Muscat few days ago and it was absolutely gorgeous!
We drove all the from Abu Dhabi to Muscat - about 5 hours drive - and we definitely do not regret it. The weather was fabulous, the road was extraordinarily beautiful surrounded by those huge colorful mountains from Hatta to Muscat. Will definitely do it again.
Upon the entry of muscat, we were amazed by the beautiful skyline of the city; mountains in the background incorporating the urban fabric and the landscape in such a stunning harmony.
The city is full of greenery and public spaces. We found many public parks with free access and overlooking the sea. This was quite exceptional compared to other cities around the Middle East.
The city, the urban and the inhabitants are worth the visit.
