Old But Gold -The Beautiful Glass House

Hello, Victor.

It’s my first time of meeting you here on Connect. Where in Nigeria are you?

The Glass House is in the City Centre, very close to the Cocoa House, when you are ready to go, you could use the itinerary we used on this and cover many places.

You can introduce yourself here;

Introduce Yourself - February 2021 there you would also meet many amazing Local Guiees who have joined the community this month. Also, if you want to mention someone and ensure the person gets a notification use the ‘@’ to tag like I am going to do now @Vicktour

Nyai, I don’t believe there is anywhere in Sukabumi you haven’t mapped. Of you say there is none in Sukabumi, then there is none. I amnjust wondering if it’s like that in every other place @Nyainurjanah

I’m currently in Abraka, Ethiope East Region of Delta State.

The b0iulding indeed looks like made of gold, @Ewaade_3A . It’s beautiful. I like glass facades too. If you come to Dallas, you will probably love to roam around the downtown area which is full of glass buildings.

My Heart race! Oh my Gold! How I get to have Sonia on my post, I really do appreciate. Thank you. I am also glad to share at least one preference with you :grin: @SoniaK

Dallas, I have never been there, I hope I get to visit some day and the US is such a great place for roaming too :crazy_face: no one honks their own at you or makes you feel stupid or makes you feel you are spending too long a time at the Pedestrian walk.

Dallas, Here I come!

I love to take photos of the reflections of other buildings in mirrored buildings @Ewaade_3A seeing the street scape with all the wiggles imposed by glass is always interesting. Here are my two favourite examples

Oh! The first one is exquisite, Paul, so brilliantly shot!

You know this your concept reminds me of “reflective Photography” and now, I see how we can do this not only by the waterside but also beside a Glass building, I will try this.

One question; “How did you manage to take the shot and not be in the image?”

Did you have to choose from a specific angle? @PaulPavlinovich

Oh okay, you need to stop over at Ibadan to see this place actually not just pass by as you would do on your way to Lagos.

Welcome to Connect, my brother. When you mention someone here, if you want them to get a notification, use the ‘@’ like I am going to do now @Vicktour

But you na sabi man na, I no suppose talk too much, you suppose done understand. You know as e dey go now.

That’s actually the first thing you notice after coming to the US if you are coming from the other part of the world @Ewaade_3A . The same thing happened to me as well. No honking on the roads made me feel like I was in a mute land. You can’t imagine a car on the road in my country without honking. Well, it’s just not the US, a lot of developed countries and some developing countries are also practicing the same on the roads too.

Here are some photos of glass facades buildings from Dallas Historic District that I took. Hope you like these.

My goodness Sonia! The first one has me in my feelings! I have never seen anything like it! The shape at the top and the color too. I love the Angle you took the photo from, else I would have thought the building was reflecting the color of the sky. Do you know what they do there in the blue one?

Thanm you so much for adding these photos for me, I appreciate.

'@in a mute land :smiley: :grinning: :laughing: it was the Patience for me :rofl:

We have a joke here where someone is leisurely crossing the ‘Zebra walk’ and the driver begins to honk and she’s like; “chill, it’s a Zebra walk” and the driver raps back; “are you a Zebra?” Ehehhe @SoniaK

Thanks for sharing, I appreciate

Thank you for the appreciation, sir.

Hi! Why do I feel like I know you @BunnyAyush

Were you on @TravellerG 's team?

By the way, I like your name. It was the name of a Character in a movie, I loved the Character so much! Thank you for commenting, if you were at this meetup, what would you have added;

  • What is a Small Business to you?
  • What are the trending small businesses in your locality? Their motivation? Their risks?
  • How can we help them?

My memory really does serve me well :blush:

Thank you for providing the name of the movie and making me know it’s your nickname. I am smiling so warmly now :blush: at “I know you very well”. But, I will not ask you what you know here.

Thanks for attending the Meetup here! :dancer:

Yes @Ewaade_3A you got it exactly, you move around so that you’re not in the image and you get a reflection of something interesting for your photo. It’s harder than it sounds but you’ll be doing it in no time :).

I knew it!

I hope I would, I will try it when I go to the Lagos Island. That’s where we have many of the Glass buildings. @PaulPavlinovich
