I’m sorry to hear that your topic was flagged as off-topic. Unfortunately, once a post is hidden due to community reports, it can no longer be viewed or edited.
In these situations, the best option is to create a new post. As a reminder, we encourage topics that are connected to the Local Guides program and Google Maps contributions, such as travel tips, cultural experiences, great places to visit, and stories from your contributions or achievements.
@Yotaroh , when you are notified about a post temporary hidden because flagged by Community reports you have the possibility to edit it. But if after that the post was checked by a Googler and they found that the report was correct, then the post is removed, like in this case.
As a reference you can read this reply by @AngieYC in a similar case:
I didn’t have the possibility to check your specific post, but looking at the link it seems the post was about Comet C/2025 A6 (lemmon) - here in Wikipedia.
As mentioned by @AlexandreCampbell , in Connect we focus on contents that are about the Local Guides Program and we share our original experience, avoiding generalist contents.
With this in mind of course you can rewrite your post, but if it’s not focused on the elements mentioned above it will be removed again.
I know, a year ago you wrote a similar post: Comet C/2023 A3, and that post is visible. But honestly, also that post should be removed because it is “off topic” in Connect
Hi @Yotaroh
I could say that the concept of Off Topic was the same even before the migration. However the structure of the category was different, and for sure we were a bit more flexible.
But the community is growing, and we need to keep the contents strictly related to Connect’s topics , otherwise it can be difficult to keep the boundaries.
