Oarai Isosaki Shrine Night Photography

My Japanese Friend told me about this place, a cool spot for Photography. I was quite excited because the Shrine was placed on top of the big rock.

They call this the “Power Spot” a place for spiritual energy. This was built during Heian Period 856AD.

They called this spot Onamuchi-no-Mikoto which means God of Marriage.

Already Countless Couples tie the knot here…

Hi @RONEXDBONEX ,

Absolutely stunning! Could you share with us how you made these beautiful snaps? What camera did you use and did you do with long exposure? I’ve tried long exposure before and I found it challenging. Your photos look like paintings, so amazing. The composition and colors are really great.

Thanks so much for sharing! :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi @DanniS ,

Thank very much for appreciating my photos. :slightly_smiling_face: I used Fuji XT20 when I took those shots. If I remember it correctly, my settings for these shots, Aperture F4, ISO3200, SS 30secs. The night was also perfect because it was Full Moon. It creates a brighter effect.

@RONEXDBONEX ,

It’s quite a magical place to go to. Do couples get married there as well? I can’t see from the photos, but is it on a hill or is there water as well?

Thanks! :slightly_smiling_face:

@DanniS Yes according to my Japanese Friend, many couples got married there because Onamuchi-no-Mikoto which means God of Marriage. The location of the Main Shrine is on top the hill. The photos that I took in the Beach side is part of that Shrine.

Gracias!
