Nothing to be scared of: New "Consumer alert message in your profile

Hello everyone.
A new message is appearing today in all Local Guides profiles in the Google Maps App

Nothing to be scared of. The new message is simply informing us that starting today a new warning may appear on listings that are suspected of having Fake reviews, and that such reviews may be removed.
For more details please read Consumer Alerts - Maps User Contributed Content Policy Help
You can reach the information directly by tapping on “details”

Hi @Surified
Don’t worry, this is not an issue.
It’s a new information about the fact that reviews may be removed and a listing can have a banner to inform the users that some of the reviews may not be genuine.
Google is rolling out this update worldwide just now
It is not a personal message related to your contributions, don’t worry.
For more details please read Consumer Alerts - Maps User Contributed Content Policy Help

Thanks for letting us know @Surified!
I haven’t seen this (yet?), but consider it a good thing. Not the fact, Google did hide a review, but telling us that it happened is better than hiding silently, which was mostly the case until now, if places outside the European Union (EU) were rejected by the filter.
What does it show under Details?

thankyou for the information

I get this message, seems odd

So does this mean we cant post reviews? @ErmesT

Thanks sir @ErmesT

Thanks @anon24291235. Is this the new function in UK recently described by @PaulPavlinovich?

Hi @waza28

This is a message to notify for a review that removed from Google maps that doesn’t follow Google’s review policies.

Nope, @AbdullahAM , this is a general message.

Thanks for the info @ErmesT Good to know there is nothing wrong! I got that message already in my profile

As I understand now, it is not single review which was removed. Instead from now on, for a limited time, nobody can post any new reviews to that place listing.

Yes, @WilfriedB
This message is about the listing itself, not a specific review written by us.
As the Consumer Alerts - Maps User Contributed Content Policy Help says " You may see a banner on the business’s page to let you know that suspicious reviews were removed. "
and
"You may not be able to post reviews or ratings on the place for a period of time. "
