I have shared 10.000+ photo’s on Google Maps. For the last week or so I have been unable to see all of my photo’s under “My Contributions->Photos” tab (independent of sort order). If I e.g. sort them on number of views, then I can only see the 100+ most watched photo’s (down to ca 10.000 views). Photo’s with less views are not displayed. Same thing happens when sorted on date … only photo’s from the last few weeks are visible. This happens both in the browser version and in the Android app, so probably a server-side bug?
Yes @vaarre
this seems to be a synchronization issue, already reported by others.
Give 24 hours to the databases to be fully synchronized.
Checking your photos I can see the same behavior already reported in this post: Limited-scrolling-through-photos-SOLVED and self fixed after 24 hours
Hi @vaarre ,
Thanks for reaching out and for sharing your feedback and concerns with us.
I would like to let you know that in such cases you can clear the cache and cookies from your browser, while waiting on the system to synchronize your data. Please let us know if you still face the issue after 24 hours. You can also check out the post that @ErmesT suggested to you for further details.
I’m changing the label of your post to How-tos, as this is the board where you can share your questions related ot the Local Guides program or Google Maps contributions.
Thank you so much for your rapid and and professional responses @KatyaL and @ErmesT !
Clearing the cache and cookies in my browser messes up a lot of other pages, triggering a lot of re-login’s to all my various accounts. So, I rather prefer to wait 24 hours for the sync to complete. I will let you know the status when it’s up again.
Best, @vaarre
And now all my photo’s are properly restored in “My Contribution->Photos” tab! Thank you @KatyaL and @ermest !
Thank you for the feedback, @vaarre
I am happy that everything is fixed now. Can you please edit the title of your post adding [SOLVED] in there?
Have a nice day.
BTW: I didn’t received the notification of your tag. What about you @KatyaL ?
Did you wrote the tag using @, @vaarre , or just copied it? FYI: The only way for a tag to work (sending a notification) is to write it directly on the post
You wrote:
"Did you write the tag using @, @vaarre , or just copied it?"
Mea culpa! Sorry about that! I did a copy-paste … which apparently did not carry correct references to you, @ErmesT and @KatyaL . Lesson learned ![]()
I have also updated the title of my post, as suggested.
Thank you for the feedback @vaarre
Sometime we had some issue with the notifications, so now we know this was not the case. Really appreciated
Ermes
