Last year while we had our monthly topic on medicinal plant I had in mind to write a post on this but never got it done. Now, here you are !!!
Health is wealth !!! Without a good health you may not be able to contribute effectively to the maps. One amazing thing is that both the fruit and the leaves are both medicinal. It is consumed as a staple fruit. I have also tried the juice, first drink every morning and it’s quite good for the general well being .Noni has been used traditionally to heal lots of ailments around the world.
Cold
Flu
Diabetes
Depression
Joint Ache and pain.
Bacterial and viral infections It is also an antioxidant and works as anti ageing agent.
This will be of interest to local guides, it helps to increase physical endurance. Incase you are going hiking or a long day of editing and photo shots.
The Ladies will be more interested in the fact, that it is good for the skin, hair growth combats hair loss.
It’s largely cultivated in the tropics and even in South Asia. Maybe our local guides from Bangladesh or even India will have an idea. It is good to note that Noni has some side effects which should also be mentioned here.
The first thing I noticed in my own experience on this is that, when it comes to Noni the smell is not very pleasant. I have also found out that, when consumed in excess or stored in the house the odour penetrates even the clothes.
Excess of it is toxic and can damage the liver.
When consumed in excess can also lead to diarrhea, in other words it’s a good laxative.
It has excess potassium which may causes arthritis.
Well as we say, Excess of anything is bad. While it’s a very medicinal and healthy fruit and plant, note that it should be consumed in modération.
Hope you like the post ,it may be of some health benefit to you some day. Have a good weekend.
This is really an uncommon plant to me @SholaIB . In Bangladesh, I think we do not have this plant everywhere. I am very much amazed to see the healthy features of this plant. Thanks for sharing this nice post. Stay safe.
Hello @SholaIB thanks for sharing, As a lover of natural medicines, so happy to see these plant. Even though i have never used it or come across it in my area, will share it with my granny if she knows it. And would love to try it as well.
Thanks for looking at the post. It’s good to know you love natural medicines. It’s not until recently I discovered certain natural herbs and I love them now. This is my 2nd post on natural herbs.
Please search for it in your area and let me know your findings here. Also let us know what granny thinks if she knows it. Thanks in advance.
Am surprised it’s not common in Bangladesh. Is your climate not about the same as ours here in west Africa?
Thanks for your nice comment. Maybe it’s worth making a search ,I know you have discovered and shared a lot of post on flowers you found in your village. Maybe this plant will be somewhere in the villages.
@SholaIB , yes we have almost the same weather here but I have not seen this plant in Bangladesh. I need to search more to find it out. Thanks for your comments. Stay safe.
This is interesting @Sophia_Cambodia . Maybe I should tag @MukulR and @Zuhralc they will be interested in your response. They haven’t seen the plant before now. There is also an additional information here they will like to see.
