Hi, I have posted three reviews so far, but none of them are visible to the public. I double checked to ensure that no policy violations. How do I know if my account is suspended?
Hi, @aruul
According to this guide (Why was I removed from Local Guides? ), “…if you don’t find a Local Guides badge on your profile and can’t sign in to post on Local Guides Connect, you may have been removed from the Local Guides program.”
Because you can post on Connect, it means your account is not suspended.
Thank you! In that case now I have no clue as to why every review I post isn’t visible to others ![]()
Hi, @aruul
To know what is the exact reason why your review is made private, as far as I know, is rather complicated since Google didn’t notify you that one or more of your review has made private. You can only guessing. Maybe it’s just an error occur.
But you might find this solution (Private-reviews-and-ratings ) interesting: “…reviews with any repetitiveness or quick takes (e.g., ‘its ok’ or ‘nice place’ - multiple times) are the type of contributions that might be marked as private by internal tools and thus the contribution points would be removed.”
Btw you can follow this tips how to make proper review: Tips for contributing high quality reviews & photos
It might not your fault. It was not so uncommon.
Hey thank you for the link! I have had a look and I still feel I meet all the requirements. My review is quite long and not generic. The thing is my points haven’t been removed, and I even received a mail recently from Google thanking me for my reviews and it even went as far to say which one of my reviews was the most helpful? Which is all just very confusing to me ![]()
