When ever I visit any park or hotel I use to give review in map normally I found that people’s have posted there personal photos and pic which is not of that place .Posting personal pic may dangerous of people . What and how should remove that photos .
Hi @nishant4 thanks for writing us, as you are discussing about some irrelevant photos in maps. So i want to tell you one thing that you can’t remove such photos from the maps but you can report for that photo who is not related to that place because those images can be deleted by the Google authority but by reporting the images will be count as appropriate and soon it’ll not be publicly available.
Check this post.
Hello @IshantHP_ig and @nishant4
From what I understand they are not removed removed from Google maps , they are just made not public so are no longer displayed though the person whom uploaded them still see’s them on their account.
I had a photo removed not so long ago which was a carving done by a person , I can still see it on my account though when others look for it on the POI in Google maps it’s not there.
Anyway, report any photo’s that strongly don’t have anything or are irrelevant within a POI
I.E A picture of someone’s dog posted within a POI for a waterfall ( FYI = This is one I reported and had removed ).
Sometimes I face the issue that a wrong photo or a fake photo is uploaded on a location but i don’t have any options for report that it is not a real photo of that place

Hello @LilyanaZ
While on the topic of flagging photo’s, is there a way to flag multiple photo’s for the same reason at once instead of flagging one at a time.
I’ve got a POI with around 27,000 photo’s and flagging one at a time takes to much time when around 15% of the photo’s are not related.
Also, can we use " Other " when reporting a photo instead of the other categories to better help the reviewer decide if the photo should be removed.
I.E instead of using " Not a photo of the place " can we use " Other " and tell the Google reviewer why it’s no a photo of the POI.
Hello @GenerolHavoc ,
Unfortunately there is not an option to flag multiple photos, but you can always share the POI in mention in this thread and our team will investigate. Please, just make sure not to share any private or sensitive information - a link to the place on maps will work best.
Hello @Kaptaan ,
I am merging your post to this one, where you can see what actions you need to take, in order to flag photos on Google maps, since this is not an idea.
You can read this article: How do I use the Idea Exchange?, to learn more about Idea Exchange.
NP , I just flag them myself as there are over 27,000 photos in the POI so would be hard for Google to go over each and everyone,
Anyway can this question be answered.
Also, can we use " Other " when reporting a photo instead of the " Not a photo of the place " to better help the reviewer decide if the photo should be removed.
I.E instead of using " Not a photo of the place " can we use " Other " and tell the Google reviewer why it’s no a photo of the POI.
FYI = Just want to keep the questions seperate.
Would a photo taken from one POI of another POI violate the " Not a photo of the place " rule ?
I couldn’t find information regarding that anywhere, though I guess it would.
Hello @GenerolHavoc ,
You can use the option “Other”, of course, when you have decided that none of the other options describe the reason why you are flagging the photo or if you need to provide more detailed reasoning for reporting.
To reply to your second question, “Not a photo of the place” option is exactly what you described - a picture of another POI or a picture of anything that is not the POI in mention.
By the way, you can check this article regarding flagging and fixing inappropriate content on maps.
Quiero saber si se pueden borrar las fotos de google map que las personas suben de pronto por error que describe el lugar pero las fotos no corresponde al sitio. Gracias
