Cada día me siento mas orgulloso de ser un Guía Local de Google Nivel 8.

Pregunta: En Venezuela: ¿Quien coloca los nombres de las calles en Google Maps? ¿es el gobierno? ¿una empresa privada? Quiero saber, por favor, ¿quien colocó el nombre a la calle “Avenida Norte 8 Bis”? Tengo conocimiento de un nombre diferente que le dan los pobladores de esa calle. Mil gracias.

The name of a road can come from different sources: may have been taken from an old map, or added through Map Maker (a program for adding Maps element that is now closed), or submitted to Google Maps by a Public Office

Regarding your question: Towns, roads and squares are elements of the Map Layer. Local Guides cannot directly edit that layer. Only Google Maps team can.

What we can do, for helping the team, is to report an error on Google Maps, through the “send a feedback” that you will find scrolling down your menu on Google Maps.
