No regular Street View coverage in @Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Why Doesn’t Addis Ababa Have Google Street View?

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia’s capital, still lacks full Google Street View coverage. While satellite maps exist, the detailed street-level imagery is missing. This limits tourism, navigation, and business visibility.

Possible reasons include data restrictions, low priority by Google, or lack of local 360° image contributions. Some locals have started uploading photospheres, but it’s not enough for full coverage.

What can we do?

  • Encourage locals and visitors to upload 360° photos via Google Street View apps.

  • Raise awareness and ask Google to prioritize Addis Ababa.

  • Partner with local groups to support mapping efforts.

Have you noticed this gap? How would Street View help you or your community? Let’s discuss!

Hello dear @Naty welcome to the LG community :bouquet: :tada: :collision:

As far as I know, 360° photos can’t be added anymore… it has been discontinued….

Volunteers can still create blue lines by uploading 360 videos with gps data to
https://streetviewstudio.maps.google.com/.

And everyone can add individual 360 still photos to places on Google Maps. Just as we upload flat photos.
