It’s been three weeks since I’ve been able to post a caption and earn a reward. Something’s very broken. I am Level 10 and I’ve earned points for 4154 captions. So this definitely isn’t on my end.
My phone is a Pixel 8a. It’s on Android 15 with the May 5 update.
Maps is version 25.18.00.752029409. There is no newer update available from the Play Store. I have cleared the storage and the cache.
I’ve rebooted and I’ve tried turning it off/on.
I removed all of the updates and the version is back to 11.129.0103 and THAT worked. So it’s something Google has done between that version and version 25.
- Search for a business.
- Click “Post”
- Click “Add photos”
- Search my device for a photo.
- This is where I would usually be able to enter a caption. The field does not appear.
I’ve tried this with different businesses including ones that for sure would be photo-able.
