I would like to add a profile picture but Google are not contactable for assistance. Yes I tried a google search, it says just change your google profile picture! It’s that simple!

So I want help from google, their attitude is Piss off and ask someone else!
So I’ll just close this account soon and go Apple, they actually have a support team to help you, care about their customers and wish to keep them.

Cheers dude, something so simple and it can really give you the run around. It should be in your profile options but I’ve wasted an hour in there achieving nothing but heightened stress levels.

I hope the answer from @TecAshish was sufficient. To follow up, once you’re in your account, press the second tab “Personal Info” and from there you can upload a photo of your choice.
As for Connect, you can change your avatar by clicking your profile in the upper right corner and then press “edit”. This will let you upload an avatar directly from your device.

At Apple you’re a paying customer so you get support, at Google you can enjoy the same level of support by becoming a paying customer through https://one.google.com/ where you will access to email, telephone and web chat support.

Hi @Local_Lee since we are coming from the weekend, it might happen that the people who were suppose to assist you were of duty for that period. You have been given correct methods to solve your problem in different ways from above given by @TecAshish , @MortenSI and @PaulPavlinovich I would like to add another simple method which is shown from the screen short:
From your computer on the top right corner, click on your profile, where you see my photo it is written change near the blue print written Google account when you click on it, you will see this pop up enabling you to add photo which is written drag a profile here or select a photo from your computer, once that is done you will be able to see the photo you have added after some time, the system will need some time to update and that may take 24 hours. Being patient is key. Thank you.
Wow, all of those who replied to my original post are so helpful it has made me feel so foolish and wrong. I let stress get the better of me when I posted, I know not to do that ever again. I am sincerely sorry. Thank you Morten for renaming my post, much nicer.
So I’ve clicked my profile, then edit as you said, now I can either edit my name or reset. So that’s it for me tonight, I’ve wasted yet another hour, still can’t add my picture, I said I wouldn’t post stressed yet here I go again. I’m just leaving it tonight, goodnight. Tomorrow I’ll test all options again, 1st I’ll change my name then reset, bye.
I will try and post a more thorough guide here @Local_Lee . If you wish to change your profile photo from your Google account, go to your account via https://myaccount.google.com/.
Once you have your account open you’ll see a menu to the left displaying your different options. From here, choose the second option which says “Personal info” and you should see this page:
By clicking on your profile photo to the right, you can upload the photo of your choice.
If you wish to change your profile photo on Connect, simply go to your profile and from there click the tab that says “edit” right next to the gear. This should take you directly to the page you see here below, where you can upload an avatar from you computer.
I hope this will help you in changing your profile photo.
So I went to my profile, but won’t show that pic as it has my email address showing. Next I click EDIT and this comes up
Nothing has changed, I just don’t have time today. But if I can’t do this I won’t do it, I’ll do the name change and reset when I get more time. I’m not a custom to struggle! Seems there is a problem, I left school at 12yrs of age after scoring 147 in an IQ test, these days I get various results never under 150. Normally I am the knowledgeable one helping others, so I’ve had another look around and seriously believe there is a platform issue. I realise Google are Android and don’t necessarily support Apple but there are around a million Apple users who support Google, like Google and would like to be part of the Google community. I will sell this Apple very soon and move to a more compatible platform, however before I leave Apple for good I’d like to fight for the Apple users out there having this same issue I’m having here. Could I fix my issue simply from a PC or Android? Yes! Should I be forced? No. Could Google fix the issue so I can upload my profile picture from the Apple I’m on? I believe so. Will they? No, it doesn’t look like it. Seems it’s more fun making me out to be useless and hard to get along with. Well I don’t need that, I can be an extremely useful person to have on your side. So as it stands I am telling you guys I can’t upload a profile pic from my Apple, you guys are saying I can, I say I can’t, you say it’s easy, I’m still saying there is a problem and should be a simple fix, and you still think I’m the problem. Seems cheaper to tell me stop pointing out issues than pay someone to fix it. I won’t hang around and argue, there is an issue and if you won’t hear me I will quit real soon, then I can offer my free services where I will be more appreciated, and Google can go on believing they can do no wrong even though reality begs to differ.
