Hello Fellow LGs,

I am pleased to share with you all about the newly born badge named Top Movers & Shakers Leaderboards Champion – 2024 badge. This badge is awarded to top Local Guides featured in the 2024 Top Movers & Shakers Leaderboards created by @AdamGT.

This gorgeous badge is designed by @AdamGT and @AdrianLunsong. Many thanks to them for designing and getting this idea implemented with the help of @katydarhel.

This badge is the testimonial of the top Local Guides who stood up in top 10 on 20 of the Movers & Shakers leaderboards for the year 2024 as listed below. Only one badge is awarded to the LGs even if they appear in more than one Movers & Shakers leaderboard top 10 list.

This is one of its unique kinds of first badge made available on Local Guides Connect.

The 20th Leaderboard Top 100 Champion takes count of the number of times a Local Guide has been in the Top 100 but only on the 19 leaderboards excluding the Champion board itself (to avoid circular references).

And, there is the 21st Leaderboard Top 10 Local Guide Champion Movers & Shakers as well which takes count of the number of times a Local Guide has been in the top 10 of the 20 boards including the Top 100 Champions board (20th Leaderboard in the above list of Leaderboards). This board provides the list Local Guides who are the recipients of the special 2024 Movers & Shakers badge.

Thus, one can easily find out who are the 87 awardees of this newly born gorgeous special badge by checking the list in the Top 10 Champion board.

So what are you waiting for! If you are not on the Leaderboards but wish to participate, you can register here to Show & Shine and learn from each other.

Who knows you are there in the top 10 for the year 2025!

Wow what a creative banner @Kumaarsantosh and I’m so happy, in fact excited that you love the new Connect badge and that the Community’s reception to it has been so overwhelmingly positive. It’s this that makes all the work, time and effort that went on behind the scenes and not only by myself but also by the Local Guides Team and @AdrianLunsong and @katydarhel, so worthwhile.

You are so right! While there are many thousands of Local Guides from all corners of the world that have agreed to participate, jointly sharing their Google Maps contributions and achievements, and while potentially there was a maximum of 200 recipients of this special badge, only 87 made it onto the winners list. In my view, another extraordinary fact is that one of the recipients, @AnuradhaP was awarded this special badge for having only made one single fact check in 2024!! Now that’s extraordinary. So how easy was that :wink: :wink:

Dear @Kumaarsantosh, first of all, I want to congratulate you on your impressive results in the leaderboards. With the first place in the Top 100 Local Guide Champion (frequency 16!!! :hushed:) and the third place in the Top 10 is the Local Champion Guide (frequency 6!!! :anguished:).

I also want to thank you :blush: for appreciating my contribution to the design of the badge and for creating a complete list of all the leaderboards. It is simply necessary to somehow navigate these statistics!!!
