First a general big thank to Google for organizing such event and giving the chance to meet up the community and share !
To introduce myself my name is Claire, 31 yo , Frenchie, and addicted to travels. I am mostly travelling for business or on my own but not alone since I have Local Guide, my best companion abroad ! 
Seriously, I am using Local Guides for almost everything: researches for administrative institutions, restaurant, fitness centers, bars, supermarkets, …
And since, it replaced all of the aps I used to refer to before.
But let me tell you the things I like the most about local guides:

huge benefit: I save money !! no need for me to spend buy and had extra effort carry a big outdated travel guide book !

my nerves are happy: public transportation network and connection taxi aps are for me also really convenient. I like technology only when it comes to be user friendly and this connection to all the appropriate aps for ordering a taxi is just the best !!

I save a LOT of time. All the relevant details I need to know are shown (affluences, opening hours, …). This is the fist think I look before calling a doctor for an appointment or anything else
And the fun fact about me using it for all is that my colleagues have been also trapped into this : I am choosing the places we go for dinner thanks to Local Guide !! And they never complained
