Did you know that New Zealand has control of surrounding Islands? These islands are regarded as New Zealand territorial islands, which mean they are under the jurisdiction of the New Zealand Government.
There are three islands that are regarded as the main part of New Zealand, which are the North Island, South Island, and Stewart Island. These three islands are inhabited. There is another island, Chatham Island, which is also inhabited.
All the remaining outlying islands are now uninhabited.
All of the islands also have smaller islands around them of which are part of the named island.
I’ve always wanted to visit Auckland Islands and Campbell Islands. I will achieve that goal one day.
See my map here.

these islands seem dangerous being too small and surrounded by waters but may be i am feeling so as i am watching them on map. there must be people, homes, markets and all other things like any other places.

@Janisar1 the islands are large and could have a population although are quite exposed to the weather, mainly the Southern Sea cold winds. Some of the islands have had research staff on them previously.

Nice to know @OliverKIWI . If you get the opportunity, you must go up north to the Bay of Islands, where there are 144 islands.
The islands in the Hauraki Gulf are very nice and I have spent a lot of time in my younger days and my family had a boat and we went out often and camped at some of the islands.
