Hello!
A friend of mine is asking me for advice.
They have a listing in Google maps but they will make a repair for 6 months. So they will use a new /temporary/ address. He wants to keep the current location /marked as temporarily closed/ but somehow to point to and show people the new temporary location. I don’t know is it possible.
Or just simply to change the address for 6 months and after that to change it back?
Thank you in advance.
Hi @BorislavA
Thanks for asking. This forum is for volunteer local guides only. Business owners have their own help pages and forum. This is where you can find or get the best answer.
Here is the GBP help center and you find the GBP forum here.
Temporarily closed is intended for less then 15 days. So I belive permanently closed is a good solution. Permanently closed businesses csn be reopened.
Your friend could use the about text field and updates to inform about the new location. And then create a new location. But then reviews will be in two places.
So maybe just moving the old pin to the new location and later back again is a better solution.
Cheers
Morten
