One of the important and repetitive questions topic in many places is about parking. Previously the app was asking different question cards for different types of parking.
Thanks a lot for the notification @Amiran ! So far, I haven’t seen it yet.
Talking about parking, a missing response comes to my mind: What exactly means “… available here”? In many old towns with pedestrian-only areas and no curb parking you won’t find any parking right in front of the venue and the question is merely how far do I have to walk from the closest parking. Many times, when getting this question, I ask myself: Yes, there is a parking, but you have to walk xx meters. Does it still count as available here?
In my opinion, street parking which is related to a place is what is used regularly for people to park and go to the place. So it should not be compared to an exact distance for all places.
Yes @Amiran I seen in the morning these questions card for parking update & atleast ten update done by me different parking slots in my visit areas through these questions card for parking. & one more thing @Amiran yesterday also Google Map update the road added edit in mobile users, more friendly way to road edit add on Maps by mobile device.
Yes @Amiran this is a welcome change rather improvement.
Have you also noticed, this way they have also optimised the point awarding system?
Instead of awarding 1 point each for every answers now in one go only 1 point is awarded to user irrespective of one or many questions answered. And, this makes sense.
Yes @Kumaarsantosh you correct & @Amiran I share a snapshot latest update on G Maps for mobile users more users friendly because I have done nearly 400 road added through mobile device so I can perfectly say these update more friendly for mobile device users Roaders.
Yes @Amiran I’ve been seeing this quite often in recent days. Lots of extra points for places where I’d previously answered all the other questions. Apart from the points, I like this presentation of the question and its possible answers.
No @WilfriedB . If the parking space is not immediately adjacent to the POI and perhaps reserved for visitors to that business, I wouldn’t count it as “available here”. For example, no parking is allowed on the main street of our city where the big stores are located, but I might be able to park on a side street nearby and walk back. I don’t consider those side streets as parking that’s actually related to the POIs on the main street.
This looks much better and more options now. I’m liking the colour change. There has been an update which I posted yesterday, but I like this one more.
