New place with correct information not being added

Hi,

I recently discovered a new parking place in an obscure area in my city and tried to add with all the required information and pictures. But it seems it is not being added in the maps. Able to see the below message. Can anyone from maps department please look into this issue? @Anonymoususer1

Message:

City Plaza Ample Parking
NOT APPLIED · Place creation
Google couldn’t verify your edit
Edited 21 Nov • 7 photos added

Two comments:

Uploading 7 photos when adding a new place is not recommended. It is better to add only one if you are asked for photos. Now you will need to manually delete the 7 photos associated with Unknown place to keep your contributions in perfect shape.

In some areas where most if not all businesses offer free parking we should not add such parking lots to Google Maps because it will not be helpful to Maps users.

Is the parking lot clearly visible on the satellite images?

Please read Why is my edit status “Pending” or “Not Applied”? if you haven’t already done so.

Please check the links shared by @MortenCopenhagen about how Google verify the edits.

However checking your profile, your last photo has been uploaded five months ago.

Did you contributed with another account?

Thank you for your quick response! It is actually a paid parking lot and visible on maps. I will try to add it again when I visit it next time. Could you please guide me on how to delete the photos added for this place. Actually I’m unable to select the place and perform any actions in maps as it is in view only mode in my Contributions tab.

@ErmesT Yes, that is the photo from the last approved post few months ago. The recent one was not approved. I will go through the shared links. Thanks!

Hi @minhaj18

You go to your contributions, then select the photo tab. There you can scroll down to find the photos you want to delete. There is a small garbage icon after you selected a photo.

I think @ErmesT is on to something regarding having more than one Google account. This could explain what you experienced.

There are no recent photos in your profile, and as you are asking now how to delete them, looks like the photo has not been uploaded with this account.

Can you please explain?

Thanks for the help @ErmesT @MortenCopenhagen I added the place without any photos and it got sourced l approved this time.

I am having the same exact rejection of a place i am trying to add. Is there a way to “edit” (under Edits, under maps in contributions) the original contribution to add or eliminate photos? It is greyed out under “edits” without any possible action on it anymore ??
