I’m thrilled to share another major milestone in my mapping journey — I’ve officially contributed 77,777 kilometers of roads through Google’s Road Mapper platform!
Since the beginning of this initiative in November 2019, I’ve been actively mapping roads across the globe. As of April 23, 2025, I’ve reached this incredible total — with an impressive 99% approval rate for the roads I’ve added!
If I did the same thing from the Google Maps app and got 15 points for every
Road edit, I would have gotten 1022,240 points for the 68,152 challenges, even though there are no separate points or rewards.
I’ve contributed in 14 different countries, and I’ve successfully completed the full mapping challenges for Nepal, Indonesia, Bangladesh, and Venezuela. Here’s a breakdown of my road contributions by country:
- Bangladesh : 1,552 km
- DR Congo : 3,190.6 km
- Ethiopia : 21,028.2 km
- Indonesia : 2,282.5 km
- India : 5,082 km
- Kenya : 3,481.4 km
- Myanmar (Burma) : 10,791.1 km
- Nepal : 1,122.4 km
- Nigeria : 12,320.9 km
- Pakistan : 3,051.2 km
- South Africa : 3,301.8 km
- Tanzania : 3,260.8 km
- Uganda : 3,160.9 km
- Venezuela : 4,150.5 km
Road Mapper has been an incredible learning journey, discovery, and impact, helping communities gain better access through improved map data.
If you’re also mapping roads, I’d love to hear from you! Drop a comment and share how many kilometers you’ve added so far in the Road Mapper Platform.
