šŸ‡®šŸ‡³ New in India! "Featured Lists" now visible on Google Maps

Namaste Local Guides! :folded_hands:

Super excited to share that I recently spotted a new Maps feature in India - ā€œFeatured Listsā€ being shown on place pages. Yes, it’s live!

:pushpin: What’s new?
When searching for places on Google Maps, you might now see a section titled ā€œOn these listsā€, where curated lists by fellow Local Guides are being shown! I noticed it on the Tirupati Rushivan Adventure Park page - with a list titled ā€œOne Day Picnic Spots Near Gandhinagarā€ by @NareshDarji :green_heart:

:light_bulb: Why is this cool?
It makes discovering nearby spots a breeze, especially when planning a day trip! I love how it encourages exploring Local Guides’ recommendations and showcases authentic user-curated experiences.

:clipboard: The list appears prominently, right below visit timings and review summaries, helping people explore nearby options. It’s a win for the community and for map users!

:framed_picture: See the screenshots attached to this post.

:magnifying_glass_tilted_right: Have you noticed this new feature in your area?
:speech_balloon: Share your screenshots and experience!
:eyes: Let’s keep building lists that help our local communities explore more.

You’re most welcome @christophesubilia!

Yes, it’s interesting how this ā€œFeatured on Listsā€ section is now being rolled out and visible in India - a great way to discover curated experiences by fellow Local Guides!

Hopefully, it will roll out in Switzerland and other countries soon too where not available.

Thank you !

@KetanChhaniyara

Thanks for highlighting this @KetanChhaniyara

Seems like this is an old feature made new. I previously started making a few lists, but then Google Maps made everyone’s lists private. Now by your discovery it seems they’re becoming publicly visible again.

This feature is amazing @KetanChhaniyara

I just found out about it today! I also noticed another new feature: when I check cinemas in my area, Google Maps now shows the movie schedules. It matches exactly with the online booking platforms. It’s really helpful and makes planning so much easier!
