Over the past few years there has been a lot of discussion and many posts about the NOT APPLIED outcome after adding or editing a POI on Maps. I recently tried adding a new place and while I made an obvious mistake, I noticed a new option allowing me to Send edit feedback. This is an enhancement I’ve not seen before on the NOT APPLIED outcome. On the surface it looks like a chance to provide supporting information or challenge the NOT APPLIED outcome!! After selecting the Send edit feedback link you get what looks like the standard Feedback dialog window in which you can enter the feedback text as well as including a supporting screenshot.
Well I have of course submitted some edit feedback and keen to see where this leads to but in the meantime, I’m wondering if anyone else has seen or had any experience with this. It looks like a very encouraging enhancement on the long standing NOT APPLIED issue!
I have never seen the “Send edit feedback” link in my list of Edits.
I would love it as I think it would be a relevant and much-needed improvement.
Would you care to show some screenshots after hitting the link? Is it just some generic feedback options or is there a real chance to improve the edit?
Just give me a moment as I’ve just been re-visiting some of my old Connect posts on the NOT APPLIED issue as things are looking good…
EDITED: I’ve just added some more details to the post Morten and as you can see it is the generic feedback option but perhaps it is a real chance to improve the edit!! Any thoughts?
The way it’s looking @FalguniP is that you will at least be able to add further information about the edit once you have hit a NOT APPLIED. I’m not at all sure why I can see it and you can’t so I’m hoping that others might see this and let us know.
I did not get a new notification since you just edited your old Hang-on reply.
Thanks for sharing more details. So to provide further feedback on the not applied edit do you highlight the relevant text in your list of edits or do you zoom in on the place on the map?
I’m a bit hesitant to believe this kind of generic feedback will make any difference. Please prove me wrong. Maybe you can test the system with distinct follow-up feedback so you can know it the set up really works.
