Google Maps has just got better with the addition of speed cameras to Maps.
I think this feature may be available already in a few other territories but it’s a first for South Africa and in a country where there are countless cameras set up daily it’s a highly welcomed one.
I was very pleasantly surprised to discover it today.
Apparently Maps will also be able to notify the user of upcoming speed traps - I haven’t needed that feature yet myself but it’s a very handy one to have

Much love

Hey @LeeBee-SA
Thats awesome I was actually thinking about this just the other day, and I was contemplating on installing “Waz-gps” but now I don’t have to, I wonder if it works for other countries.
Now what we need is for Maps to notify us when there are road blocks.
I am just curious to know how how Maps gets notified about a random cameras cos, if I see one I would like to publish it to help other people.

Hey buddy @Bren-frm-SA
That would be quite shandy feature, I guess it might show up as traffic for now - well, that’s what usually happens my side if there’s a block ahead and build up. If it’s an accident there’s usually an icon depicting so and if nothing then it can usually be put down to a roadblock or crazy taxi driver
