@ErmesT great catch actually!
I don’t see it my app @ErmesT up until now but I guess it’s a great feature that will be beneficial for us all
Finally, today this trend graph arrived in the Android Maps App on my phone, @ErmesT .
Adding another 100 photos does not give much of a bump on the graph
Cheers
Morten
Haha, @MortenCopenhagen
Probably if you have more that 500 millions views and more than 17 thousands photos in Maps your addition of 100 photos (looks like you did a walk for taking storefronts photos) will not have an immediately visible impact, but if you only have 100 photos …
Yes, you are right, @ErmesT .
I noticed that the trend took a new and less steep direction mid last week. Maybe, the algorithm for selecting which photos to show was changed. I doubt much else changed. Do you see a similar trend?
If it was a week earlier the holidays might be the reason with less people using Google Maps. Or maybe there is a delay in getting the updates.
What do you think?
Cheers
Morten
In my opinion, @MortenCopenhagen , the trend is useful to see when the total view counter is updated, because it is referring to the “Total Views” only, so I am more interested in the “flat” part of the slope.
Of course, some reason can increase the steep of the trend (holidays can be a good reason, as you said) and this will be interesting to analyze.
I started months ago to think about an idea related to photo views, so I think it is now tome to write it
Interesting, @ErmesT
I believe we are talking about the same thing. Level off or flat sections.
I see the same in your graph. That indicates it is system related and not caused by our actions or inaction.
Maybe, it is just caused by the delays in updating the total view counts as you mentioned. Let’s check and compare after the next “jump”.
Looking forward to reading your piece on views.
Cheers
Morten
Yes, I think it is system related too, @MortenCopenhagen , and will help us to better respond to the users who write about views not increasing
Here is the idea: Display Trendy Photos in Google Maps
Yes, @Yotaroh , same here starting from two days ago
now the graph is completely disappeared from my app
@ErmesT さん、私のアプリからもグラフは消えました!
