As a local guide the most interesting thing I have done is discovering a city and review places to help people to discover it too.
I'm now living in London UK, though 2 years ago I was living in Frankfurt, Germany. This small and busy German city has been the center of all banker attention since the announcement of the Brexit. Then I was excited to live in the new trendy financial hub, however when I arrived I knew nobody and I definitely didn't know the good places to hang out.
So at any major "life event" I had, like a romantic date, a girly cake and tea or a sunday brunch full of friends, I discovered great places (yes yes I'm that lucky) and I reviewed them giving my opinion and my story. Here are a few examples:
- Sullivan - Cocktails Bar - $$$ - KaiserstraĂźe 12, 60311 Frankfurt

First meeting of the board members of the Young Leaders of Finance
That was in May 2018, the first sunny days in Frankfurt, I was “hiring” friends to be part of my team for a new project: the Young Leader of Finance (YLF), a finance and leadership conferences club that I created. This picture is history now for the YLF board.
Otherwise that’s just the very usual afterwork banker spot in the City.
- Good Food Lokalbahnhof - Restaurant · $$ - Darmstädter Landstraße 14, 60594 Frankfurt

Girly brunch with my Chinese friends
This place is easy to find cause you have the nearest station in its name and this name is true! The food is simple and delicious. I like to come here and have a very cosy time on one of these long wood benches with my friends.
- Leib & Seele - Restaurant · $$ - Kornmarkt 11, 60311 Frankfurt

My best friend visiting me from Paris for the week-end
That was my go to place for many reasons. Prices and food are good, you can get all the Frankfurter classics and it’s central. That’s why I discovered quickly this place and I was taking all my visiting friends and family there.
But fun fact, actually the place or should I say the picture who made me climb the Google Guide ladder is...in my home town, Paris in France. This whole story makes me think that even as a Google guide and all the impact we can have travelling or living abroad, it all comes back to our roots at the end
