ISSUE - In India, road junctions or intersections are known as “Chowk”. While adding important road junctions there’s no category to either add Intersection or Road Junction or Chowk.
MY FEEDBACK - as a Local Guide, it’s my request to Google Maps Team to add a “Chowk” Category while Adding/Editing New places here in Google Maps India. Kindly refer to the images/links attached.

Hi @NAVYguy
Thanks for sharing your pictures. Can you share little bit about this place?
Also, don’t forget to add map link of the place in your post.
Intersections and roundabouts have been suggested as new categories several times.
Always to no avail.
So maybe we need to speculate why these categories have so far not been added.
Having traditional landmarks in Google Maps is far less relevant when we have Maps to help us navigate. Instead of having Google Maps refer to landmarks it just helps us turn when needed as we move along. So I believe the developers reasoned that we don’t need such landmarks on Google Maps.
Also, places on the list of categories are typically places where we want to visit. Practically no one wants to go-to an intersection and visit there. There is typically nothing to see or do there (except make a turn).
I understand that the often long addresses in India can include landmarks, but in most other countries an address is identified by a street name followed by the house number only.
The primary list of categories is the US English version. The rest are translations there of. And the list is very much influenced by American culture.
All the best
