Hi I have visited a few business’s where the building have been built but are not showing on Google Maps. Satellite images show the buildings but maps does not, when I go to add a missing place it looks like it will create a map marker, not the buildings, any suggestions?

Local guides can only add so-called points of interest (POI) on Maps, not add structures like new buildings. Typically those get added through a cooperation between Google and local authorities.
You can always use the ‘Send feedback’ feature to inform the Maps team, but most likely the building will pop up after a while automatically.
As for the parking lot: I have just tried to add one of the missing sections there - I will let you know if it gets approved or rejected for me.

Regrettably, Google Maps does not currently accept requests via Local Guides or help forum to update the Building polygons. However, the automated system periodically updates the polygons.

Thanks for the blog post, I have clicked on “Send product feedback” on google maps and added 4 locations missing the building polygons, will give it a few weeks and see what happens.
Hi JanVanHaver, these buildings have been around for a few years, I have used the “Send product feedback” in the bottom corner of google maps and given them 4 locations missing Building Polygons.
