Unfortunately, i have never received any reward from being Local guide level 8. My family always made fun of me for my dedication stating that google wont recognise my effort. I wish to receive minimum badge!

it’s completely voluntary contribution program you can earn the points through writing the Reviews & some time higher level of unlock the tokan of reward like they access the google’s new feature.

As our friend @ShailendraOjha said, the Local Guides program is completely volunteer-based. There’s no guarantee of rewards for any achievements. You might get invited to events or receive special perks, but these happen randomly. Recently some Indian LGs including me got an invitation to participate in the event 'The Contributors Convention, at Google Office, New Delhi, where I got the opportunity to meet many LGs and Googlers. Please take a look at my post Contributor Conversations 2024. Together, we can build a better Google Maps . You might get invited to a similar event someday. No one can predict who will get it. Sometimes we get early access to new Google Maps features. Other friends in the community help to improve your skill sets and clarify your questions. Being part of this community is about having fun, helping others, and gaining valuable knowledge from fellow LGs. Rewards are bonuses, not the main reason to participate.
