Hello Local Guides,

I am thinking of organizing a meetup for fellow expats around Tokyo, but not sure of what theme of the meetup should be… Any ideas would greatly be appreciated…

@user_not_found Photo walking would be a great theme. I’m sure you will find a lot of ideas from the link @SebaasC provided.

@user_not_found if you will be targeting expats, perhaps you could choose ‘Roots’ as theme and ask all participants to show the others something in Tokyo which reminds them of their home country.

Thank you for your enthusiasm! The best way to organize a meeting with other Local Guides is to create an event on our meet-up site. The other Local Guides will see your meetup suggestion and will be able to RSVP for it once it is approved.

In the following link you will find everything you need to know on How to organise a successful meet-up. I would suggest you to look into the different type of meet-ups related to these topics Food Crawl, Map Editing, Photo Walk, Geo Walkand book an appropriate venue for your event in advance.
