And I can choose also Google Photos as a source
If you give us some more details, this will make easy to help you
Hi @Anshu3 ,
Thanks for reaching out to the community! : ]
Just to be sure, would you mind checking if the photo would be possible to be uploaded via desktop to Connect?
Also, please make sure to check as @ErmesT kindly suggested.
I would also wanted to ask, if the photo would happen to be exceeding the file size, should the maximum is 3,072KB (kilobytes)?
Am I only able to upload picture via desktop…? Because as suggested by you file size is as per your recommendation.
Thanks for replying @sonnyNg
Thanks @Anshu3
I use Snapseed to edit and resize my photos on mobile, but there are several free Apps that can be used on mobile for resizing, editing photos
@ErmesT Thanks for your reply.
Please follow the below steps to reproduce issue.
Open local guide connect>>click on photography tab>>after opening click on start a post>>in topic select photography or travel>>add title>>photos and text
Here I am getting issue that when I click on bold, italic, underline, link adding icon all are working but when I am clicking on gallery icon not able to see further resoresp from connect.
Even replying to you what options I am getting on top but among all of them I am not able to use gallery option. That’s why I am not able to attach screenshot of the issue.
Please resolve this issue thanks.
Hi @Anshu3 ,
Thanks for letting us know about the photo’s file size! : ]
Regarding the suggestion to upload via desktop it would be just experimental, on the other hand Local Guides may indeed upload via mobile as well.
In case it would be as @ErmesT suggested so far, either if you are facing any issue on any steps when uploading, do feel free to share the screenshots via Google Photos.
Would you mind letting me know on which device you are facing the issue? (if it is possible to have details of phone model, OS version and details about the browser)
@sonnyNg @ErmesT thanks for your reply
I got it when I opened connect in desktop site now I am able to share pictures and videos as well. That issue is happening just because of mobile view.
Thanks for the feedback, @Anshu3
BTW, it should not happen.
Can you share with us the Operating System of your phone?
Also it can be helpful to logout from your account and clear the cache on your browser on mobile
Hi @Anshu3 ,
Thanks for the update! : ]
Just to be sure, for checking on your mobile device, in specific the browser, if it may have access to the Gallery on your phone, as an example you may check in the instructions page Change site permissions.
Do feel free to share the photos on desktop, we will be looking forward to it!
P/s: I have also changed up a little bit the title of the post, as you may feel free to check further if needed so that the subject could be understood right away by the community.
@ErmesT MIUI global 11.0.2 operating system
Thank you @Anshu3
MIUI 11 is an Android Based OS, but some of the functions are customized by the producer.
Great that on desktop mode you can use the commend. BTW, can you take a screenshot related to what you see while on mobile mode?
Hi @Anshu3 ,
The screenshot would seem that the procedures for posting are as usual, would you mind clicking on the option to upload photos, in the same steps as the screenshot?
Of course, do feel free to add further details at your convenience, should you check as @ErmesT as well. : ]
Hello @Anshu3
Unresponsive icons in a page on a mobile browser does happen sometimes.
Trust, you are aware of the usual troubleshooting steps like clearing of cookies and history.
The choice of the browser, as well as update status, can also affect that.
Additionally, some browser extensions can interfere with the scripts in a page. Either disable those or make the Connect site as an exception.
I believe these standard troubleshooting steps would be able to resolve the problem on the phone.
