@AdamGTI quite understand the way @TerryPG is thinking. The big Movers & Shakers will invariably move to the top of the list at the expense of those that have stopped moving.
This is more so for the videos which are mostly new, compared to the photos which in some cases have earned their fairly immoveable top positions after being listed for a few years.
Again, I agree.
I just took a look at my September and December spreadsheets and the change is qite remarkable:
6 of the September top 10 are not in the December top 10
3 of the December top 10 were ranked much lower back in September
3 of the December top 10 are new videos which were not yet taken in September
I usually update my VIP Star Trackers for both videos and photos at the beginning and middle of every month. April was an awkward month for me and this was never done. Imagine my surprise when doing it a few minutes ago - half the photos and a quarter of the videos still have the same number of views as they did in mid-March. This is due I suppose, to the remaining fallout from the February 7th system crash. Will we ever really get back to ânormalâ?
Same here @tony_b my overall numbers are moving upward but many videos views have not moved. I posted one Feb. 9th and it hit 41,000+ views in 2 weeks and I thought I have a winner here. It has not changed since. This is discouraging. Itâs still on their website.
My overall total is growing at a decent rate. How is this possible when the highest viewed items are not moving, and the newest posted contributions are registering low numbers or zero?? It remains a mystery.

While awaiting those, I just updated my Star Trackers and still found some of those Top 10 are not recording new views. I only saw increases on three of my top photos - 5, 8, and 10. The videos did a bit better, with tiny increases on 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10.
I have not accessed in the last couple of months. I wanted to last week, but I couldnât get up to level 10; even though I went through all the T100 posts a couple times.
Reaching level 10 in the T100 System, not the local guide levels, give you access to Advance features where you can track multiple photos and videos in addition to your star images. There are other tools available as well. If you look through the T100 documentation you can find out more about it. You reach a higher level by marking T100 posts as being read and adding comments to them.
@Rednewt74 If youâre still having difficulty reaching VIP10, just open the Top100 dashboard, click VIP Lounge, then click VIP Check, and youâll be presented with a list of posts you havenât yet read and marked with kudos. Go through those and that should get you there.
@Annaelisa you seem puzzled. This all relates to the Top100 dashboard where we fill in our monthly statistics. Then the summary of the results are published by @AdamGT here on Connect. As he has often requested, we are to read and click the little heart on all his posts as he publishes the Leaderboards for Points, Photos, Videos, Countries, Movers & Shakers, and the Star Leaderboards.
Hi @tony_b Very similar with my Numbers, I use the Trackers in the top 100 to track what I call my movers and shakers rather than my top Ten.
Only 3 of my 10 photos have any movement at all in over 3 months now. Videos are better, with 8/10 having movement.
What is irritating is one of my Ten video movers had over 41,000 views in a couple of weeks, Thatâs a huge number for me, but it hasnât moved anywhere since the middle of February, So disappointing.
So yes I am still updating hoping for some kind of miracle from Google to say âhey itâs fixedâ
Yes youâre correct @TerryPG . The trackers can be used to measure any 10, not just the top 10. Personally I like to monitor the top to see when photos or videos come from lower down the list and move into the top segment. Also to predict which ones might eventually become new star photo or star video over time.
@tony_b I was using my Top 10 to help track new photos Iâd taken in January before two very large tourist events hit Scottsdale, AZ. That entire project got ruined by the start of the photo count debacle. But, itâs hard for me to tell now if the views are still somewhat stuck, or if the locals are just not going out now that the temps have crossed over 100 all day.
But, yes, I keep mine updated monthly to take advantage of all the VIP Level 10 toys.
