Nana Fadnavis Wada,Menwali,Wai,Satara

The 34600Sq.ft Fadanvis Wada is located next to the Krushna River in Menavli Village, Wai Taluka Satara. The river ghat next to the palace is shaped like a moon crescent, and the palace was constructed in 1780. The Nana Fadanvis served as the primary Pradhan of the Peshwas from 1756 to 1800.They got there upadhi by Chatrapati Rajaram Maharaj. The palace which had a large entrance door with a smaller Dindi door at the bottom.

At the top of the entryway is Nagarkhana. We first enter the palace and proceed to Dindi Darwaja Chowk, where Pandav Gad Buruj is standing next to him. The nagar is used as an instrument to welcome guests or any other esteemed person at that time.

The location of Ganesh Chowk, where the statue of Ganesh Ji is situated, is then visible.This Ganesh statue is a replica of the Wai Ganesh Temple. A little distance from Ganesh Chowk lies the Ganesh Sapha Hall, where visitors may see Nana Saheb thanks to these elaborate arrangements.A little while later, Haldi Kunku Chowk is there.Things women once used to celebrate their events

There are two paintings in this hall that are titled “Jai Vijay,” who is the Dwarpal of the God Vishnu.There is a Devpooja chamber behind them. There are two or three stairwells throughout the palace, and Kaladalan is located on the second story. Nana Fadanvis also has a deep appreciation for art and culture. Throughout their war journey, they purchased numerous paintings in various locations.Also, they fixed in these Kala Dalan.

There is a little entrance next to Kaladalan that leads to the khalbatkhana, the location of the private meetings at that time. Katherine, Daftar, and the bedroom, Diwan Khara, are among the other rooms that are there. There are some carved wooden pillars, a bed, and a ceiling fan. On the bottom level, there is an open roof space for puja meel, or food for the Dharmik Vidhi.

There is a meneshwar and Vishnu temple outside the palace. There is also a 600-kg-weighted hanging bell there that represents the victory in the Vasai War. A few Marathi movies showed people shouting at these palaces. lovely historic location to explore.

Place is not accessible for whelchair person,And there is plenty parking also provided to the outside of palace

  • You can reach there by your own car as well as public transport also Wai taluka ,take straight on MH48 upto gaganpuri road then take left to menawli there is many sign boards also provided.

. There is snacs center available near to palace by local and some hotels also prent at menwali village .
