During my travel to Rajsthan I was visiting Mount Abu with my wife and we loved to visit Nakki Lake.
Nakki Lake is located in the middle of the Aravalli Range in Mount Abu. This lake is a major attraction among tourists. Boating can be enjoyed from the Gandhi Ghat in this lake and horse riding on the shore can also be enjoyed. This lake is not very big and about 125 feet deep close to the dam. Part of Mahatma Gandhi’s ashes were immersed in this lake. After that Gandhi Ghat was constructed. One hour is enough to visit includes boating and sighting of Toad Rock.
There are many hotels and restaurants situated close to the lake. A special Sunset point to view the sunset is located nearby. Universal Peace Hall is also a center of attraction. It’s a major attraction among all the tourists.

Thank you for sharing. The lake looks wonderful. What does ‘Nakki’ mean in your language? It’s funny, because in my language (Finnish) Nakki means sausage 
Can you go by boat there as well or some cruises? Have you been there before or was this your first time visiting?

I am grateful for your graceful appreciation and precious note. As according to the legend it was digged by God and by his Nakh in Hindi which means Nail so considered holy and another legend that it was dug by Rasiya Balam who was the lover of the Princess and of course Boating facility is available but Cruises are not added so far. It’s a major attraction among the tourits. I am visiting often as my reservation are cancelled due this pandemic Covid19.
