Hi @MortenSI ,
Though it’s correct to say that Taj Mahal attracts lot of tourists all across the world, but you can get good photos in spite of that. You won’t believe that last time I went in the off-season (summer time) and still there was huge crowd. I had to wait for around 15-20 minutes at every angle to get the perfect shot.
Btw, if you are planning to visit Taj Mahal, then March is the best month to visit. Also, try to enter during sunrise time when it just opens. Crowd remains less by that time and you would also a good view.

That’s some great advice @Tushar18 , thank you very much!
When it comes to attractions as popular as the Taj Mahal, I guess there will be many visitors no matter when you go.
I think you’re right that coming early in the morning is the best idea. I will keep that in mind.

Hi @MortenSI ,
You are right that places like Taj Mahal attract lot of people - no matter at what time you are visiting. For me, irrespective of the time I’m visiting, my technique is to first get the proper angle of site (to click pictures) and then wait patiently for the people to get cleared from there. Though it becomes tiresome sometimes, but it is worth the effort.
If you visiting Taj Mahal anytime in future, then I would also recommend you to have a boat ride in the Yamuna river (located at the backside of Taj Mahal) - esp. during sunrise or sunset. (Just one more thing I want to mention that Taj Mahal remains closed on Friday)
One more thing I want to add that places like Humayun’s Tomb and Bibi ka Maqbara resemble close to Taj Mahal - at least what I consider. You can plan to visit here too if you like.
I have also written a detailed post about Humayun’s Tomb (you can read if you like the place) - Humayun’s Tomb (New Delhi)

Thank you for the advice @Tushar18 , all of these places sound really interesting and they are hereby noted!
I read recently that it’s possible to visit the Taj Mahal at night in small guided groups. I bet you could get some amazing photos at night with a clear sky.

Thank you very much @MortenSI …
I didn’t know that we can visit Taj Mahal at night. If that’s possible, I would love to visit on a Full Moon day - when moon’s rays would have a stunning light effect on white marble of Taj Mahal. Yes, the pictures captured in that moment would be memorable.

I agree @Tushar18 , visiting at night during a full moon would be amazing! You probably have to book the trip months in advance as I think it could be sold out very quickly.
You would definitely see the Taj Mahal in a way that very few people have.

Hi @MortenSI ,
Yes, you are absolutely right that the night view of Taj Mahal would be unmatchable with anything else. I would love to sit there, relax and just observe that beauty. I wish I could get that chance from the tourism management there, and that too with very less crowd. (It would be a dream !!!)
I wish you get the chance to visit monuments like Taj Mahal and others soon … Good luck dear
