#MyMemories - Photo Post (24) - Photos of Iguanas, Mysore Zoo - TravellerG

Caption: The Cover Photo of the iguana.

Dear Friends,

A request - if you like the photos, can I request you to kindly TAG your friends, please? - let them also enjoy - right? - thanks for your favour.

This is a series of Photo Posts where I am going to introduce one animal in each post. Most of the photos are from the Photo-Walks conducted in different Zoos including Mysore Zoo, Vandaloor Zoo, Nandankanan Zoo etc. - in this post, let us discuss iguanas.

Have you ever captured any photos of any wildlife? Can you give me company by publishing your shots?

Iguana

Iguanas belong to the Reptiles class. They are one of the biggest members of the Lizard family I****guanidae. They are cold-blooded and egg-laying animals. Iguana refers to members of the subfamily Iguaninae. There are currently 35 recognized species including the well known common or green Iguana.

The Iguanas are native to the tropical areas of Central America, Mexico, the Caribbean and South America. On average the male Iguanas grow a maximum of 2 meters and weigh up to 6 kg, while the females weigh up to almost half of the male’s weight.

Their species vary in colour, size and behaviour. The Iguanas also have venom glands like snakes but it produces weak harmless venoms. Another interesting fact is that the females of the species lay their eggs and abandon them, therefore the baby Iguanas grow without their mother’s help.

As an LG Photographer, I have spotted Iguanas in Mysore Zoo Here.

Wooow!

You are very correct, Iguanas are incredible creatures…

I love to photograph them because such photos can exhibit the capabilities of the ‘camera’.

These were captured in a 20 Megapixel Song Camera where the shots are around 18 MB of storage - we can ZOOM & see the details.

Thanks…

Happy that you enjoyed the photos…

Sincere regards, dear @indahnuria

thank you so much for sharing this info … @TravellerG
