During my trip in Uttarakhand, I visited Dhari Devi Temple and Devprayag, and both places left a beautiful impression on me. Dhari Devi Temple is located on the banks of the Alaknanda River. The sound of the flowing river and the temple bells makes the place feel very calm and peaceful. The idol of Maa Dhari Devi is placed in the open, which makes the temple feel even more special and powerful.
Also, I went to Devprayag, where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers meet to form the holy River Ganga. Watching the two rivers coming together is a truly special sight. You can clearly see the different colors of the two rivers before they merge, and the whole place feels very spiritual and serene.
Both Dhari Devi and Devprayag are not just religious places, but also very beautiful and peaceful.
How to reach: Dhari Devi Temple is located on the Rishikesh–Badrinath highway, around 20 km from Srinagar (Garhwal). You can easily reach by bus, shared taxi, or private vehicle. Devprayag is about 30 km from Dhari Devi and is well connected by road from Rishikesh, Haridwar, and Srinagar. Regular buses and taxis are available to reach both places.
