I’m a Local Guide contributing regularly under the name Kiran Bhanushali. Recently, I’ve noticed that many of my posted reviews are not publicly visible, even though I can see them when logged into my account.
I’ve ensured that:
- My contributions follow Google’s content policies
- My profile is public
- There’s no promotional or restricted content in the reviews
This issue is not limited to one business – it’s happening across multiple reviews. I’ve also tried editing and reposting, but there’s no change.
I’d appreciate any support or clarification on:
- Why my reviews might be hidden or filtered
- Whether my account has any limitations
- What steps I can take to restore full visibility

I think you have removed your pendrive or other storage device before completing the upload. If so please connect it and wait for the upload to complete. Your last two reviews are not showing. The third one is online and it’s showing.

all reviews, photos and videos are checked by a filter, not only for obeying the rules, but also for SPAM and false information. If there is only a little doubt, the post will not be published (aka hidden or private ) and Google never tells us why,
Important in your case: If there photos or videos attached to a review and only one of them is not published, the entire review including all other media attached to it will also be hidden.
So, if realizing, a review is not visible to the public, as a first step, remove all media and see, if text-only is accepted.
What comes in addition, is the “upload pending” in your screenshot. For videos, the verification can be a day or more, but for photos it should be only minutes.
While I didn’t experience it myself (because adding photo directly to the listing), I did read several comments here on Connect from users who had uploads pending for a long time, but I didn’t see any solution yet (besides removing the media from the review).
@ErmesT do you know more on this? Searching with “upload pending”, I found several new posts.
