Not sure if anyone is like me. I have been collecting souvenir coins around the world. Am now writing down the locations of such souvenir coins! Because I hardly find anyone writing about it on the internet. So I’m writing my quest on finding souvenir coins machine!
this would be a post on souvenir coins in taiwan. I have collected coins in Japan, Russia and Korea and will be writing it on another post.
Taiwan is an amazing tourist attraction. With many places to visit. Below are some of the places that has coins. Actually there are more of them. Such as sun moon lake, alishan mountain, and other scenic area. I have forgotten to take a photo of them! But will do so when I head back again.
such coins are a memories to me. In Japan especially the coin can be engraved with the date and time and message.
if you have a chance to visit Taiwan do remember to visit the scenic attraction such as jiufen, shifen, sun moon lake, alishan, keelung, Taipei 101 area, miaoli, sanxia, etc.
I read your post and find it so interesting! I have seen many machines like this in many places that I visited. I love collecting coins as well. When I look at them somehow they remind me of the place that I have been to.
If you are into collecting coins, here is a post that I wrote about: 我的爱好是通过收集货币来保存记忆.
nice collection of notes and coins you have! Love it. I am more into collecting memorandum coins of places. Each places coin is unique and only if you have been to the place then you can buy it that’s the most unique part.
What do you think about creating Google Maps List of places, where tourists can buy souvenir coins? Seems, it’ll be helpful for people, who collect coins like you. If you interesting to create Google Maps List, you could do it just follow these guidelines.
In addition, I would like to share with you photo of the souvenir coin machine and the souvenir banknote machine, which I found in Atomium, when I visited Brussels, Belgium.
indeed! I’m planning to do a listing for collecting souvenir coins on Google Map! Hopefully it will be done by this weekend I do know the location of all the machines so that will be great.
I agree with you, @Shawn_t . I have a close friend of mine, every time we travel he always takes this type of memorandum coins and the collection gets quite beautiful.
Do you know how many coins you have right now and of how many places? Which is your most favorite one?
It would be great if you can share some photos, @Shawn_t ! I am sure all of them look exceptionally beautiful.
Just as a reminder, don’t forget when responding to others make sure to tag them (by writing @ before their names) in a post so they can receive notifications that you are communicating with them.
