My Photo Crossed 50,000 Views on Google Maps!

Hello Local Guides,

I am excited to share that one of my photos on Google Maps has crossed 50,000 views! :tada: It feels great to know that my contribution is helping people explore places better.

I started adding photos to Google Maps to help others get a visual idea of locations, and this milestone has motivated me to keep contributing more.

I’d love to hear from fellow Local Guides – what has been your most viewed photo, and how do you choose the best shots for Google Maps?

Excellent milestone, @Ravalparth! I tend to be very selective now with my photos, only posting a few to each POI, then trimming down photos that are not getting views within a month or so. My average is 2 photos per location.

I went through your contributions, and you really do well highlighting the locations with very well-lit and vibrant photos. You do need to be mindful that you may only post photos that you’ve taken, though. Posting copied content is a violation of the Maps User Generated Content Policy, and you risk getting your Local Guide status removed. You may want to do a review of your contributions, we want you to stick around as a Local Guide!
