My name is Pavel Zaitsau and I am a local guide 6th level. I’ve started my journey with local guide one year ago and reached 6th level during that time. I am really appreciate that program. Before I started to write own reviews, I’ve read dozens other reviews of places that I was interested at before visiting them. And you know what, it was really helpful to choose the right place to visit, especially if it comes to choose good cafe or restaurant.
And I thought, if I read others opinions so, why my opinion is less important?! So, right from that moment, I’ve started my coolest journey with Local Guide Program.
As for me, the Local Guides Program inspired me not only to post reviews of places on Google Maps, but also to create own website with my travelings. I didn’t have a lot of knowledge with programming, but in less than a year, I’ve created own website without any external help, only self study and trial and error method.
The website is focused on reviews of cities, attractions and overall information of places that I did visit. For the convenience of website visitors, I regularly post Google Maps and include my review in Local Guide Program for those, who consider to visit such place in the future.

During my journey with Local Guide Program, I had an interesting incident that I would like also to share. I have friends, they are couple, who constantly like to visit new food places. During meeting with them, we were discussed one cafe and I was really surprised when they told me that they saw my review on Google Maps. My review brought them more confidence to visit this cafe. I was really surprised that they saw my post on Google Maps. It was a joy for me.
Guys, I just would like to share with you those thoughts because I even couldn’t imagine that my reviews as Local Guide could help others to make choice of choosing right place to visit. Moreover, I even couldn’t imagine that writing reviews on Google Maps will become one of my hobbies and I will create own website with my travelings. As for me, the Local Guides Program mean to reveal own potential that could turn into something more bigger.
